About

I'm Vinay Kudithipudi — a technology executive currently at Copart, where I focus on modernizing technology and building high-performing teams. Before that, I spent years at TransUnion, with stints across the San Francisco Bay Area and Chicago, working through most layers of the stack — from writing code to leading engineering organizations.

I studied at Illinois Institute of Technology, and these days spend a fair bit of time thinking about AI — how it's reshaping engineering, business, and the way we work. I'm an Oracle Certified OCI AI Foundations Associate and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, mostly because I like understanding the plumbing behind the hype.

This blog has been running in one form or another since 2003 — long enough to embarrass me with old posts about DNS tools and Jboss configs. These days it's mostly "Overheard," a series where I write down ideas, quotes, and conversations that stuck with me — on AI, culture, business, and the occasional bit of life philosophy.

Outside of work, I've run more marathons than I probably should count, traveled a fair amount, and try (with mixed success) to discard more than I accumulate each year. I live in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with my family.

You can reach me at [email protected], find me on LinkedIn, or view my résumé.
