As I was channel browsing yesterday, I happened to run across [an episode of NOW](http://www.pbs.org/now/shows/615/index.html?ref=kudithipudi.org) on my local PBS station. It featured a Harvard educated man that decided to run for the mayor of a rundown steel belt town ([Braddock, PA](http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s%5Fq&hl=en&geocode=&q=braddock,+pa&sll=40.40328,-79.868578&sspn=0.00344,0.006968&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Braddock,+Allegheny,+Pennsylvania&ll=40.403464,-79.868374&spn=0.027386,0.055747&z=15)). Besides being impressed and humbled by Mr.[John Fetterman](http://www.15104.cc/mayor?ref=kudithipudi.org), I thought he displayed all the characteristics of a true leader (IMHO).

- Having a Vision
- Committing to the Vision
- Thinking out of the box to implement vision
- Thinking objectively
