  2. when i attemp this i get the following error

There was a problem importing one of the Python modules
required to run yum. The error leading to this problem was:

    /usr/lib/librpmdb-4.4.so: undefined symbol: _!lock_ve

Please install a package which provides this module, or
verify that the module is installed correctly.

It’s possible that the above module doesn’t match the
current version of Python, which is:
    2.5.1 (r251:54863, Jun 15 2008, 18:24:51)
    [GCC 4.3.0 20080428 (Red Hat 4.3.0-8)]

If you cannot solve this problem yourself, please go to
    the yum faq at:
    http://wiki.linux.duke.edu/YumFaq

  4. I upgraded my hp’s hard drive. I installed fedora 9 instead of windows. When I try to plug-in anything on my usb port the computer will not recognize it. What should I do?

    Thanks in advance,
    Christian

  5. Christian – Are you seeing any errors in the system log. You can check it out at /var/log/messages. And what is the model of HP workstation?
